Terrance “Tuck” Tucker’s Cultivate Countdown

  1. It has to be inside you (ie. Mentoring is more than a list, a person has to want to actually help the young person.)
  2. Tunnel Vision (ie. focus on helping the young people)
  3. Know your purpose
  4. Connect with the right people. (ie. teacher, principals and difference makers within the district.)

7. Based on what you know now about your vocation, what advice would you give to yourself if you could go back to the first day of the job? -Tuck shared that he would have gotten more certifications, he would have gotten licensed earlier in the process.
